Sweeting, at South Butler, N.Y. writes to the Honorable J. N. Pomeroy regarding a petititon to the President of the U.S. for a pardon for a young boy. "I send you a petition from one of the worthy mothers of our place-Mrs. Magnise to the President. It may seem such a small thing to approach the President with, but to her it is everything."
